Description

1980 Porsche 911 SC.
Within the last few thousand miles its been, painted, engine out and re-built, new crank and rod bearings, new high compression 10-1 pistons, new chains and gears, rebuilt heads, new oil cooler, new hoses, high energy light weight starter, 964 cams. & a light weight clutch. Nice stainless exhaust, big brake kit, good tires, new Fuchs reps, new steering wheel. All new suspension inc rubber parts and new struts. Last year I serviced the steering column and added new gaiters, it has turbo tie rod ends.
It also has had a complete interior re-trim in high quality leather inc the dash, all new carpet, a Blaupunk stereo with Bluetooth.
I started playing with the rear end as a back date project, removed the whale tail and bought an OEM flat engine hood and started on the metal work, (did not want any fiberglass), so what you see in the pic is pretty unique in terms of a rear end fabrication. Its about 80% complete at the rear. I have the parts to complete it, or the original parts to put back to period look. The back end will look a bit like a Singer Porsche if finished right, needs about $1200.0 in labor and paint to complete it.
Not in a big hurry to sell I just have a project storage issue, and also have no time to really enjoy this car and play with it. Car starts up right away no matter how long its left without turning over.
Like many of these old Porsche's it has a few minor oil leaks and after a new fuel tank was added the fuel sender needs sorting out to read accurately. The work was all done prior to me buying the car and it won a PCA Concourse D'elegance.
In terms of original mileage before renovation I do not know precisely but do know it was over 100k, but given the work its pretty immaterial.
Thxs for looking and will answer any questions I can.
